Carson Scharf
Physical Therapist (PT, DPT)
Carson Scharf is a physical therapist at Herlong Sports Physical Therapy, working with patients at the Campanaro Strength & Conditioning facilities in Marriottsville, MD and Eldersburg, MD.
A native of Mount Airy, Maryland, Carson attended Mount Saint Joseph High School and went on to earn his B.S. in Exercise Science from Salisbury University. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is certified by USA Weightlifting to teach Olympic lifting techniques and holds an Emergency Responder for Athletes certification for sideline coverage.
Motivated by his passion for athletics and medicine, Carson chose a career in physical therapy to foster strong connections with athletes while helping them recover and thrive. Carson enjoys outdoor activities like running, boating, hiking and spending time at the beach. In addition to these pursuits, he is actively involved in coaching, leading the Varsity Basketball team at Glenelg Country School and a youth team in Annapolis.
As a sports fan, Carson holds a firm belief that LeBron James > Michael Jordan, even though LeBron’s teams have gone 0-6 in games Carson has personally attended. A personal goal of his is learning how to do a backflip from the ground.
